D.QUARKS AS A FRAMEWORK & METHOD OF TRANSFORMATION

In this course, successful digitized business models will be analyzed under the intensive use of case studies, Along with this analysis there is an opportunity to make use of one’s own company-cases and work with those cases in groups. While taking into account existing business models, possibilities and challenges of disruptive technologies will be analyzed. Additionally, we will critically investigate the sustainability of new business models. We will provide more insights into the patterns of the digital platform economy and actual digital business model archetypes. We will answer the key question which kind of capabilities are required to transform a business and implement a digital strategy. We introduce the d.quarks model as a reference model for companies’ digital transformation which covers the necessary digital key capabilities in the areas of value creation, value design, value delivery and value enablers.

The goal is for participants to learn how to transform your traditional company in the digital age successfully and how to implement the required capabilities (d.quarks, digital quarks). To learn from people who are part of the digital ecosystem in Berlin we will travel to the startup hub. We will meet technology-enabled or data-driven startups, venture capitalists, accelerators, incubators and people who will inspire you. Your benefit will be 50 % inspiration and 50 % networking. Take this chance and start your personal digital journey.
