CORONA EVENT PARTICIPATION INSTRUCTIONS

Instructions for Participation in On-Campus Events

such as lectures, seminars, workshops, written exams etc.

for the implementation of the hygiene regulations of the Robert Koch Institute of the Corona regulations of the State of Hesse for the prevention of infectious diseases / SARS-CoV-2

Participation is only allowed with negative proof (3G) according to
§ 3 Coronavirus Protection Ordinance (CoSchuV) and
§ 2 COVID-19 Protective Measures Exemption Ordinance (COVID19-SchAusnahmV):

  • Antigen rapid test, not older than 24 hours, performed in a test center or
  • Test based on nucleic acid detection (e.g., PCR, PoC-PCR) performed no more than 48 hours previously, or
  • Proof of vaccination as defined in § 2 No. 3 of the COVID19-SchAusnahmV:
    A proof of vaccination is a proof regarding the existence of a complete protective Vaccination against the coronavirus SARS-CoV-2 in German, English, French, Italian or Spanish language in embodied or digital form, if the underlying protective vaccination was carried out with one or more vaccines named by the Paul Ehrlich Institute (www.pei.de/impfstoffe/covid-19) and
    1. either consists of a number of vaccine doses published by the Paul Ehrlich Institute (www.pei.de/impfstoffe/covid-19) required for a complete protective vaccination and at least 14 days have passed since the last required individual vaccination, or
    2. for a recovered person consists of one administered dose of vaccine
    or
  • Proof of convalescence within the meaning of Section 2 No. 5 of the COVID19-SchAusnahmV:
    Genetic evidence is evidence regarding the presence of a previous SARS-CoV-2 coronavirus infection in English, French, German, Italian or Spanish in embodied or digital form, if the underlying testing was performed by laboratory diagnostics using nucleic acid detection (PCR, PoC-PCR or other methods of nucleic acid amplification technology) and was performed at least 28 days and no more than six months ago.
  • The negative proof (3G) must be presented together with an original official identification document and will be randomly checked upon entry to the building or by GBS staff members.
  • The negative proof may additionally be checked by event organizers / faculty before / during an event.
  • Entrance to the Goethe University buildings is only admitted upon presentation of a student ID or an equivalent written access authorization.

The following individuals, regardless of immunization status (vaccinated / recovered), are not permitted to attend events:

  • Individuals suffering from an acute respiratory / febrile illness. In the case of allergy-related symptoms, proof of this must be provided (allergy passport or current doctor's certificate).
  • Individuals who have knowingly had contact with a person with confirmed SARS-CoV-2 infection in the past 14 days.
  • Individuals subject to official quarantine or in whose household a member is subject to official quarantine.

The following rules of conduct must be observed at all campus locations and in Goethe University buildings:

  • There is a general obligation to wear medical masks in the buildings of Goethe University as well as during courses and examinations. (OP masks or protective masks of the standards FFP2, KN95, N95 or comparable without exhalation valve).
  • In courses where the minimum distance of 1.5 meters can be safely maintained on a permanent basis due to the seating arrangement, the mask may be removed after taking a fixed seat.
  • For lecturers, the mask may only be removed at a permanent distance of at least 4 meters from the first row of the auditorium.
  • For outdoor events, the mask requirement does not apply if the minimum distance of 1.5 meters can be maintained.
  • Keep a distance (at least 1.5 meters) wherever space permits.
  • Adhering to cough and sneeze etiquette.
  • Refrain from shaking hands and closer physical contact.
  • Adherence to good hand hygiene.
  • There is a risk of contact infection! Therefore, please observe the following behavior:
    • Wash hands before and after using the premises/workplaces and work equipment
    • Do not touch the face (mouth/nose) during the entire stay

You are hereby informed about the increased risk and the necessity of special measures when participating in attendance events if you belong to a risk group described by the Robert Koch Institute for a severe course of disease with COVID- 19.

The implementation is based on the house law.
