The new academic year for the 8th cohort of the part-time Master in Finance program started on April 2nd 2020, amidst the coronavirus pandemic, with the Orientation Day in unusual setting - in virtual space via Zoom.
We were delighted to welcome to their new academic home 33 highly motivated students originating from 14 countries: Armenia, Bolivia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, China, Colombia, India, Moldova, Poland, South Korea, Romania, Russia, Sweden, Switzerland and Germany.
The new Goethe Business School students bring on average almost 4 years of post-university finance-related work experience in a variety of industries to the classroom: biochemical, commercial banking, consulting, engineering and design, financial services, government, and manufacturing.
Following a warm welcome by GBS Managing Director Dr. Christian Jansen and Maraja Fistanic MBA, a representative of the GBS Alumni Council, incoming students received an overview of the program’s academic components by the Academic Director Prof. Dr. Uwe Walz. They also learned about organisational information from the GBS members of staff.
We wish our students good luck with their studies over the next two years and a good start with online learning.
We really hope to see you on Campus soon for classroom activities!
