ESE is an alliance of the Federal Bank of Germany, German Federal Financial Supervisory Authority (BaFin), Central Bank of Luxembourg, Central Bank of Austria, and Goethe Business School at Goethe University in Frankfurt am Main. Following fast-pasted changes that took place in financial supervision and banking industry in the aftermath of the financial crisis, the conference aims to analyse foreseeable changes in the banking industry’s structure, discuss the impacts of a banking union, and explore the tools of macroprudential surveillance. High-ranking experts from supervision, academia, and banking industry will give insights from their perspectives and provide outlooks on the future of financial supervision.

Two keynote speeches will be given by Raimund Röseler, Chief Executive Director Banking Supervision of the German Federal Financial Supervisory Authority (BaFin), and Mr. Yves Mersch, Executive Board Member of the European Central Bank.
