The Master of Pharma Business Administration is the only part-time MBA program in Europe with a dedicated focus on the pharmaceutical industry since 2016. Designed and delivered in close cooperation with the House of Pharma & Healthcare, this unique program offers an exclusive combination of business fundamentals and pharma-specific management know-how. Within the Pharma MBA, you will meet internationally renowned experts, build a strong network of peers and broaden your management knowledge in a perfect balance between theory and practice.

The program's job-compatible format is designed to keep studies, work and leisure in balance over the entire study period of four semesters. The Pharma MBA is conducted in English and begins annually in October. Graduates receive a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree (90 ECTS CP) from the AACSB-accredited Faculty of Economics and Business as well as the Faculty of Biochemistry, Chemistry and Pharmacy of Goethe University Frankfurt.

The Pharma MBA has a strong practical orientation due to the perfect mix of teaching experts from the pharmaceutical and healthcare industries as well as academia. The highly dynamic courses address hot topics along the pharmaceutical value chain while at the same time providing industry-specific management insights. We initiated this innovative MBA program and have been committed to its success since 2016, because it fits perfectly into the portfolio of the House of Pharma & Healthcare’s goals: industry-specific and interdisciplinary networking around the three core areas of education, dialog and research.

What makes our Pharma MBA program unique?

At GBS and within the part-time Pharma MBA, we enjoy ties to an international community of renowned experts in their respective fields. In addition to the lectures held by faculty members of Goethe University and affiliated universities, we offer regular guest lectures from prominent pharma experts and an opportunity to expand your network among influential leaders, practitioners and academics.

Part of the GBS teaching philosophy is to ensure a perfect balance between theory and practice with an innovative approach to business education. Through small class sizes, instructors from both academia and industry, and building on the professional experiences students bring along, courses at GBS foster an active, student-centered learning atmosphere. The job-compatible format of the program allows you to keep your studies, work and leisure in balance.

Graduates receive a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree (90 ECTS CP) from the AACSB-accredited Faculty of Economics and Business as well as the Faculty of Biochemistry, Chemistry and Pharmacy of Goethe University Frankfurt. The Pharma MBA program is also accredited within the framework and procedures of Goethe University's System Accreditation by the Accreditation, Certification and Quality Assurance Institute (ACQUIN).

GBS part-time students are enrolled students of Goethe University and enjoy all regular student benefits, such as access to libraries, reduced entrance fees to museums and a RMV semester ticket. Campus Westend is "Germany's most beautiful campus" and offers highly attractive and modern study conditions with a cutting-edge learning infrastructure, multiple student cafeterias (Mensa), bistros and coffee bars.
