With the graduation ceremony for the part-time Master in Finance Class of 2018, two exciting years at Goethe Business School were coming officially to an end. Prof. Michael Haliassos, Chair of Macroeconomics and Finance at Goethe University, delivered the key note speech to the graduating class. One of the ceremonys' highlights was the presentation of the ‘Goethe Excellence in Teaching Award’ to the best faculty – Prof. Dr. Steffen Juranek, Prof. Dr. Andreas Hackethal, and Dr. Norbert Metiu. In addition, top graduates who demonstrated exceptional academic performance received scholastic honors.
Frank Westhoff, Member of the Executive Committee of the Frankfurt Institute for Risk Management and Regulation (FIRM), presented FIRM financial awards to three graduating students with exceptional results in the ‘Risk Management’ specialization modules from the Master in Finance curriculum.
GBS Associate Managing Director Dr. Anja Weigt acknowledged graduates’ continuous efforts during the challenging 22-month academic program and emphasized the faculty’s tremendous efforts in making the academic journey a success. At the conclusion of the ceremony, Master of Arts in Finance degrees and scholastic honors were conferred by Prof. Dr. Uwe Walz, Academic Director of the Master in Finance and member of the AACSB-accredited Faculty of Economics and Business Administration of Goethe University.
The ceremony and subsequent reception created an emotional highlight at the end of the master program and were held in the Anbau Casino on Campus Westend of Goethe University Frankfurt. The graduates celebrated with their friends and family as well as faculty, and GBS team.
