Dear Alumni, Friends, and Partners of GBS,The Faculty of Economics and Business Administration of Goethe University Frankfurt, one of the largest economics research and teaching institutions in Germany, is currently undertaking a strategic refocus of the Faculty’s academic education.
In the upcoming months, the complete program portfolio of Goethe University’s Faculty of Economics and Business Administration (Bachelor, MSc, PhD, and MBA programs) will be subject to revision.

The Class of 2011 of our Goethe Full-Time MBA has graduated! 17 students from seven countries were awarded their master degrees at Graduation Ceremony held in the House of Finance on Campus Westend. Goethe Business School would like to extend its warmest congratulations to its graduates for reaching this milestone in their lives. Der dritte Jahrgang des Vollzeit-MBA Studienprogramm der Goethe Business School ist mit 30 Teilnehmern gestartet. Neben den größten Studentengruppen aus Deutschland, Indien und den USA konnten erstmals Teilnehmer aus Ländern wie Peru, Kirgistan, Singapur und Taiwan für ein Studium in Frankfurt gewonnen werden.

Bundesbankvorstand Joachim Nagel verrät Karriere-TippsHervorragende Stimmung bei der diesjährigen Graduierungsfeier der Goethe Business School (GBS). Die Absolventen der Programme „Goethe Executive MBA in Alliance with Duke“ (EMBA) und „Executive Master of Finance and Accounting” (EMFA) feierten am vergangenen Samstag – traditionell in Talare mit schwarzem Hut und grüner Stola gekleidet – im Foyer des House of Finance ihren Abschluss. Festredner Joachim Nagel, Mitglied des Vorstands der Deutschen Bundesbank, gratulierte und wünschte den Absolventen für ihre Zukunft viel Erfolg. Als wichtigste Voraussetzungen dafür nannte er – neben der internationalen Orientierung, die ein Muss für den beruflichen Erfolg sei: harte Arbeit, Ehrlichkeit, Pragmatismus, die Bereitschaft, von Vorgesetzten zu lernen und: Mut zur Lücke.

Das Team "Goethe Business School" gewinnt deutsche Vorentscheidung der "Investment Research Challenge"

Bei der deutschen Vorentscheidung der „Investment Research Challenge“ haben Sven Lindner, Benjamin Goy, Dominik Jochem und Natalia Nesterenko, allesamt Studierende des Fachbereichs Wirtschaftswissenschaften im House of Finance der Goethe-Universität, den ersten Platz erzielt. Unter der Betreuung von Prof. Andreas Hackethal haben sie sich als "Team Goethe Business School" damit für die Europaausscheidung qualifiziert und erhalten darüber hinaus ein Stipendium für die erste Prüfungsstufe zum Chartered Financial Analyst®. „Die Teilnahme an der Investment Research Challenge war eine sehr bereichernde Erfahrung, die uns beim Einstieg in den Beruf sicher hilft“, sagte Benjamin Goy.Chinese Banks on the Prowl in Europe

Chinese financial institutions are pushing into Europe, opening bank branches, scouting for deal opportunities and even attending German banking classes, in the latest illustration of China's growing global economic clout. […] In one indication of China's interest in German banking, Frankfurt University's Goethe Business School is running a leadership program for managers of China Development Bank. Reinhhard H. Schmidt, a professor of international banking, teaches them about the German banks, as well as the country's financial system, economy and financial crisis, while other teachers tackle issues ranging from leadership to risk management.
