Dr. Lars Jaeger Partner of the Partners Group, Head of Alternative Beta Strategies Partners Group, Switzerland After his post-doctorate studies in Dresden, Dr. Jaeger began his finance career as a Quantitative Researcher on Econometric and Mathematical Modeling of Financial Markets at Olsen & Associates AG, Zurich and joined the Hedge Fund Group of Credit Suisse Asset Management, where he was responsible for Risk Management and Quantitative Strategy Analysis. He is a founding Partner of saisGroup, an Investment Firm which merged with Partners Group in 2001, where he is now responsible for the absolute return business. He is the author of “Risk Management of Alternative Investment Strategies”, “The New Generation of Risk Management for Hedge Funds and Private Equity”, “Through the Alpha Smokescreen: A guide to hedge fund return sources”, and “Alternative Beta Strategies and Hedge Fund Replication”. |

Prof. Lutz Johanning Chair of Empirical Capital Market Research WHU - Otto Beisheim School of Management, Vallendar Prof. Johanning holds the Chair of Empirical Capital Market Research and the position of academic director of the Bachelor of Science and Master of Science-Program at the WHU. His research interests are in the areas Empirical Capital Market Research, Market Microstructure and Best Execution, Financial Risk Management, Asset Pricing and Behavioral Finance. He is the academic director of the European Derivatives Group GmbH (EDG) which focuses on the rating, the price validation and the risk classification of structured products. Since January 2008, he has been a member of the Exchange Council of Eurex Deutschland. |

Prof. Thomas Kaiser Director, Financial Risk Management KPMG, Frankfurt Prof. Kaiser is responsible for advising leading banks and insurance companies on Operational and Reputational Risk Management. Before joining KPMG, Prof. Kaiser has been with Deutsche Bank, Commerzbank and HypoVereinsbank specializing in Operational Risk and with WestLB working on market risk topics. He is co-author of the RiskBooks title “An Introduction to Operational Risk” and has written numerous articles for “Operational Risk and Regulation” magazine and other special interest journals. He is a regular speaker on OpRisk management at National and International Conferences and a member of the Institute of Operational Risk (IOR). |

Dr. Thomas Ridder Head of Credit Portfolio Management Consulting DZ Bank, Frankfurt Dr. Ridder is Head of Credit Portfolio Management Advisory services at DZ BANK, Frankfurt. He is with DZ BANK since 1994 when he joined the Capital Markets Research Team, followed by positions in Credit Risk Control and Credit Portfolio Management. Dr. Ridder holds a diploma degree in Economics and a PhD in Statistics from Mannheim University. He is FRM lecturer since 2005 and author of several articles regarding Financial Risk Management. |

Prof. Mark Wahrenburg Chair of Banking and Finance, Goethe University Associate Dean, Goethe Business School, Frankfurt Prof. Wahrenburg holds the chair of Banking and Finance at Goethe University and is a director at E-Finance Lab, a research center focuses on the impact of technology on the value chain of financial institutions. He is a member of the Stock Exchange Council and the supervisory board of Mondura AG. He has been a visiting professor at the Wharton School, University of Pennsylvania, a professor at the University of Witten/Herdecke and visiting scholar at Harvard. He received his Masters in Business Administration and PhD in Finance from the University of Cologne. His research has been published in the “European Financial Management”, “Empirical Economics” and “Zeitschrift für betriebswirtschaftliche Forschung”. He is also the founder of Blitztrade, a start up company which has become a part of an Australia based group. |
