Eligibility
Both EU and non EU citizens enrolled in a state recognized university in Germany are eligible to apply for this loan regardless of age.
International applicants may be asked for additional documentation depending on their county of residence and country of origin.

Duration
Recipients of this loan can receive funding for 36 months with an opportunity to apply for an extension of the funding period.

Description
Recipients can be granted a loan dispersed between 100 and 1,000 Euros a month.  Additionally, applicants can apply for a one-time pay outs loan for academic related expenditures such as computer equipment, semester tuition fee, books, and etcetera.  The total overall amount of the loan must not exceed 30,000 Euros.

Application
Applicants must complete an online application which includes personal data and loan amount request.  Other supporting documents such as an official university letter confirming enrollment and/or registration in a degree program at a state recognized university in Germany, CV and relevant high school and university certificates/transcripts, should be submitted in a paper form.
Applicants will be required to take an online aptitude test in German as part of the application process.
